Hello, my name is Emem and I am reaching out to you with a humble heart to support my mom, who has been fighting a life-changing health battle since December 2023. She suffered a severe fall that resulted in a brain bleed and a stroke, leaving her bedridden and struggling with mobility, high blood pressure, and paralysis. Before this tragic incident, my mom was a peace loving woman who brought joy to everyone around her. Unfortunately, her health has taken a drastic turn, and she now relies on adult diapers, cannot sit up unaided and when she does, it’s just for a few minutes and is in constant pain. In the weeks following the stroke, we were able to begin therapy, and she showed remarkable progress—she could sit up and feed herself. However, due to financial constraints, we had to discontinue her therapy, and she has since regressed. THE MEDICAL NEEDS: Doctors have strongly recommended urgent actions to prevent further deterioration and give her a chance at recovery and living ultimately. These include:

• MRI scans (brain and lumbar).
• An orthopedic bed.
• Consistent physiotherapy over the next six months.

The estimated cost of her care is 3.8 million Naira, covering medical tests, treatments, therapy, and caregiving needs. WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP: As a family, we have exhausted all we have on her treatment so far. We are now turning to the kindness and generosity of others to help us through this challenging time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to giving my mom a chance at recovery and independence. HOW YOUR DONATION WILL BE USED: Your support will go directly toward:

• Medical tests and scans
• Therapy sessions to restore her mobility.
• An orthopedic bed to ease her pain. (Currently, she lies on a soft mat, as recommended, while we wait to get the bed).
